In 1994, Downies opened their retail outlet in Melbourne’s historic Block Arcade This beautiful building, which dates back to the 1880’s was the perfect choice when we were looking for a location in Melbourne’s central business district.

With a vast selection of Ancient, World and predecimal coins, as well as a wide range of banknotes, Block Arcade Coins is a top spot for all your needs.
We not only stock the latest releases from Australia’s two mints, but as agents for several overseas mints there is always something new on offer.
As licensed secondhand dealers we are in a position to purchase your unwanted coins and banknotes.

Perfectly positioned, we opened the Sydney shop in the centrally located Town Hall Square in 1991. Found right in the heart of the Olympic City, the shop is within easy reach of trains, buses and the monorail.

Situated in the very pleasant environs of Sydney’s Town Hall Square, we are surrounded an array of other fine boutiques, as well as a large food court. Close to some of Sydney’s major tourist attractions, Downies Town Hall Coins is within walking distance of Darling Harbour, the Sydney Aquarium and the Maritime Museum.
