A phenomenal ‘fresh find’, never before seen on the collector market, Downies is proud to present the 1920s Postmaster Hoard!

As the name suggests, this extensive accumulation was assembled from the end of WWI up to the late 1920s by a man who ran a post office in a small town in country Victoria. In the perfect position to amass stamps in original condition, the Postmaster stashed away a huge number of Australia’s earliest stamps – and a significant number of key King George V varieties. Importantly, as these stamps were hoarded, and not placed within albums, they are all in pristine Mint Unhinged condition.

Downies secured the entire 1920s Postmaster Hoard, and is delighted to give our clients the chance to secure some of Australia’s earliest philatelic history. With original, ‘fresh finds’ very rare these days, you must not miss this opportunity!
