A rare opportunity to secure an example of every Australian date & mintmark issue of Queen Victoria’s gold sovereigns from 1887-1901.

Queen Victoria featured on Australia’s first sovereign in 1853 and incredibly for 47 years of her reign as Monarch until her death in 1901.  Early examples featuring the young head portrait are extremely rare but we have a definitive collection of Queen Victoria gold sovereign portraits from 1887-1901 featuring the controversial Jubilee portrait (1887-1893) and the saddened Veiled Head portrait (1893-1901) which was introduced after the death of her husband Albert.

This Very Fine to Extremely Fine graded 35-coin collection is a rare opportunity to collect early examples of Australia’s currency.  Each gold sovereign is struck from 91.67% gold, measures 22.05mm and all feature mint marks from either Sydney, Melbourne or Perth.  Your collection also includes the 1899P Queen Victoria Veil Head portrait, the first gold sovereign struck by the Perth Mint.
