Although the mintage of the sterling silver 1912 Florin was not insubstantial, the rarity of this early predecimal date is established by its extremely infrequent appearance on the market – especially in the lustrous about Uncirculated condition presented here.

With the passage of over 100 years, it will come as no surprise that only a tiny pool of examples remain in such an impressive state of preservation. Missing from most collections in premium grade, the single 1912 Florin we have available is a very pretty example.

From the Sinnathuray Collection, and notable for the attractive gunmetal grey toning, this superb 1912 Florin has been graded at AU50 – equivalent of about Uncirculated.
