The 1920s Australia Coin & Banknote Premium Portfolio unites two critical Australian predecimal issues. With both examples in superior grade, this set beautifully captures the spirit of the Roaring 20s in Australian legal tender.

The Roaring 20s were defined by change and optimism. The Australians who embraced this would have carried the 1927 Riddle/Heathershaw £1 banknote in their pockets. They may also have queued at the Commonwealth Bank to secure Australia's first commemorative ‐ and arguably, the most beautiful coin ‐ the 1927 Canberra Florin. In this portfolio, you'll find an example each of both these critical issues ‐ in rarely-seen Extremely Fine to about Uncirculated, and about Uncirculated respectively.

1927 £1 Riddle/Heathershaw EF-aUnc

Issued in limited numbers for a small Australian population, the 1927 £1 Riddle/Heathershaw note is rare in superior grade ‐ as here. The low denomination £1 had a high circulation rate, and according to Treasury, was typically withdrawn from circulation after about 15 months in the 1920s. As a result, the 1927 £1 Riddle/Heathershaw is rare in EF to aUnc.

1927 Canberra Florin aUnc

The opening of the first Federal Parliament buildings in Canberra in 1927 was important enough to inspire Australia's first commemorative coin ‐ the 1927 Canberra Florin. Struck at the Melbourne branch of the Royal Mint, this unique, one-year-only type is widely considered to be Australia's most beautiful coin. The mintage was restricted to just two million.

A superb presentation

The 1920s Australia Coin & Banknote Premium Portfolio is a fittingly impressive presentation. The 1927 Riddle/Heathershaw £1 banknote and 1927 Canberra Florin are beautifully presented within a superbly illustrated, richly informative hardback portfolio. It's this museum-style experience that provides the perfect setting for you to enjoy these important Roaring 20s types.

With the great rarity of the 1927 Riddle/Heathershaw £1 note in superior EF-aUnc, and the increasing scarcity of the 1927 Canberra Florin in premium grade, numbers are limited. Given the flawless quality, the fascinating history and the exceptional presentation, demand for this historic presentation is sure to be red-hot.
