An important, much-admired American coin type, the 1921-35 Peace Silver Dollar was conceived as a tribute to the Allied victory in the 1914-18 Great War. Spanning an imposing 38.10mm in diameter, the Peace Dollar carried a powerful depiction of an eagle on the reverse, united with a stunning portrayal of the Goddess of Liberty based on the wife of designer Anthony de Francisci.

Replacing the 'Wild West' Morgan Dollar, this striking 90% silver crown was issued as a genuine circulation coin. Fascinatingly, it was used extensively in the western states, which still favoured coinage over paper money.

The last silver dollar issued for circulation in the USA, we recently secured a substantial batch of this key type from the US. In Fine to Very Fine quality - dates and mints of our choice.
