Well within your reach at just $25, this deeply symbolic coin forms a poignant tribute to Australia's fiercest engagement of the Vietnam War - the Battle of Long Tan.

On August 18 1966, D Company engaged Vietnamese forces in a rubber plantation near Long Tan. Despite the fact that the D Company patrol comprised only 108 men, and faced perhaps as many as 2,500 enemy soldiers, the Australians triumphed in torrential rain. On August 18 1969, a cross was raised at Long Tan, and this day was to become known as Vietnam Veterans Day.
