Strictly limited edition

This year marks 230 years since the arrival of the Fleet at Botany Bay. It's a significant anniversary - and an opportunity to reflect on a developing society at a time almost too long ago to comprehend. Despite widespread interest in the event - sparked in part due to the anniversary year - just 5,000 complete collections have been issued. When you receive your set, you'll take comfort in the knowledge that you're one of just 5,000 satisfied owners in the world.

Includes 11 original predecimal coins

Each coin in the First Fleet Halfpenny & Penny Enamel Collection is a genuine, original predecimal coin. Ten halfpennies are joined by one penny, making this set superb value-for-money for predecimal enthusiasts - and that's before you even consider the finish!

Enriched with 24-carat gold

Australia's predecimal obverse portraits are striking when crafted from copper. But they come alive when finished in the world's favourite precious metal! Each coin in the First Fleet Halfpenny & Penny Enamel Collection has been finished in 24-carat gold, lifting these iconic portraits to a whole new level.

The First Fleet in full-colour

On January 18, 1788, eleven ships landed at Botany Bay, on the east coast of what is now Australia. The Fleet carried over 1,000 passengers, at least half of whom were convicts, plus supplies required to set up a rudimentary penal colony. While Captain Cook had sung the Bay's praises during his 1770 visit, Governor Arthur Phillip was less impressed. He decided to move the party north to Port Jackson, the location of modern Sydney - and the rest is history.

The eleven ships are brought to life with superb reverse motifs inspired by paintings by acclaimed marine artist Frank Allen. If you're a maritime enthusiast, you'll enjoy admiring and comparing the designs of famous vessels like the HMS Supply and the Scarborough while holding them in your hands!

Unparalleled presentation

Filled with details about the Fleet - a full passenger list, a list of cargo, details on each convict aboard each ship - an excellent, 48-page booklet is the perfect accompaniment to your collection. It even incorporates a Certificate of Authenticity! Continuing this gift-worthy presentation further, the coins are gently set within a stylish presentation case: the perfect stage upon which to admire your new treasures.

With just 5,000 sets issued, we highly recommend prompt action. Don't miss out!
