Two Captain Cook Blocks of Four!

A fantastic opportunity, we have a small number of the Captain Cook predecimal 7/6 stamp and Captain Cook decimal 75c stamp – in scarce Blocks of Four!

A remarkable collector opportunity…

When decimal stamps were introduced in Australia in 1966, predecimal designs were retained so as to reduce public confusion due to the changeover. As a result, several stamp types can be collected as both predecimal and decimal issues – including the Captain Cook stamps offered here!

In ‘as issued’ quality!

Offered in ‘as issued’ Mint Unhinged (MUH) condition, this presentation comprises two Blocks of Four – the predecimal Navigators 7/6 Cook stamp, united with the decimal Navigators 75c Cook stamp. Taken from original sheets, these key Australian stamp types are seldom offered in Blocks of Four, with the short-lived predecimal stamp particularly scarce.

Sure to be hotly pursued as we mark the 250th anniversary of Cook’s Voyages of Discovery and charting of the east coast of Australia, secure these 50+ year old Blocks of Four today. Click add to cart now!
