The exclusive replica model as raced by Shane van Gisbergen to third place of Race 1 of the Superloop Adelaide 500 in the 2020 V8 Supercars Championship.

After finishing second and third in both 2018 and 2019 Drivers Championship, the Red Bull drivers of Shane Van Gisbergen and Jamie Whincup were looking to reclaim top spot in the Supercars Championship in 2020. The new-look modern geometric design of the Red Bull Holden Racing team ensured that the Championship contenders were hard to miss on the track!

Shane van Gisbergen inked a contract extension late Friday evening along with Jamie Whincup, despite rumblings of his retirement to keep the duo together for a sixth season and in a Holden through to at least the end of the 2021 season. With the top 5 cars all within a tenth of a second of pole position winner Whincup, the New Zealander qualified 6 th fastest.

Working his way through traffic the red-hot van Gisbergen was in a dog-fight with the DJ Mustang of McLaughlin, who led the middle stages of the race but having to take on more fuel in his final stop allowed team mate Whincup to pull away. The 97 car battled hard but was just not able to find a way past the Shell Mustang to finish 3 rd on the podium.
