The collection was inspired by The Twelve Caesars, a book written circa 120AD by Suetonius, secretary to Emperor Hadrian. The book details the life and reign of each of the first twelve men to rule what would become known as the Roman Empire, and the collection features a coin of each of those rulers.

Julius Caesar (47-44BC) – among the most famous names in history.

Augustus (31BC-14AD) – the first Roman Emperor, and many say the best.

Tiberius (14-37AD) – reign was notable for the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Caligula (37-41AD) – cruel and violent: one of the most infamous emperors.

Claudius (41-54AD) – underrated, but capable successor to Caligula.

Nero (54-68AD) – perhaps the most infamous of all Roman Emperors.

Galba (68-69AD) – murdered in 69AD after a conspiracy led by Otho.

Otho (69AD) – reigned 3 months during the Year of the Four Emperors.
