Biante Model Cars are very pleased to present the 1:18 Ford EL Falcon of the Glenn Seton Racing Team driven by Alan Jones and Allan Grice to Runner-up in the 1995 Toohey 's Bathurst 1000.

With only 32 cars on the starting grid, the 1995 Bathurst 1000 was the smallest field in the race 's history as it was the first Bathurst race to be contested by a single class 5.0L Touring Cars, the prelude to today 's modern V8 Supercars. Australian Motorsport Hall of Fame legend and MBE Alan Grice teamed up with two-time Bathurst winner Allan Gricey Grice to tackle Mount Panorama. Just a month prior to the big race, Alan Jones dropped a bombshell that stunned the pitlane at Glenn Seton Racing as he announced plans to set-up his own team for the 1996 season, taking Seton 's major sponsor with him to create Pack Leader Racing. It was also a time of change within the Australian Sporting Industry with cigarette sponsorship outlawed at the end of 1995.

After qualifying just behind sister car of Glenn Seton and David Parsons, both EF Falcons had to chase down an entourage of VR Commodores while holding off the Shell and Castrol EF Falcons behind them! With both Falcons working their way through a number of safety cars and pit stops, it looked like a memorable 1-2 finish for the blue Falcons was actually a possibility. But with only 11 laps to go, the #30 car of Seton and Parsons dropped a valve and the car ground to a halt on the approach to the Cutting and their race was done. Jones and Grice finished second by 5 seconds to the VR Commodore of Perkins and Ingall, who overcame a first lap tyre puncture in an incredible against-the-odds comeback victory. Our 1:18 Ford EL Falcon Touring Car models have been produced in die-cast with fully opening parts, which should be welcome news for many die-cast model car collectors. Additionally, the models will have numerous features including, faithfully replicated race interior with roll cage, race seat and harness, detailed fuel system in the opening boot and high-rise rear race wing. Under the bonnet is the race-spec Ford V8 engine and turn the model over to view the twin-exhaust system as well as photo etched parts, beautifully presented detailing and outstanding finishing all round.

They will be produced to order and as with all Biante 1:18 scale limited edition models, these items will come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity and premium box packaging.
