Description
Issued for only three years, as Australia recovered from the Second World War, the King George VI 1949 £10 Coombs/Watt is rare in good Extremely Fine condition, as presented here.
The scarcity of this note in the superior quality is largely attributable to the fact that it was Australia 's highest standard circulating predecimal denomination. As with all high denominations, the £10 note during the Coombs/Watt signature combination was printed in relatively low numbers. In addition, and perhaps most importantly, the £10 represented too much spending power for most people to blithely set aside for posterity.
The chance to secure the 1949 £10 Coombs/Watt in superior condition emerges only once in a while. The opportunity to obtain this note in good Extremely Fine is very important indeed don 't miss it.
