An officially licensed Allan Moffat Racing Product, and a strictly limited edition, the Allan Moffat Enamel Penny 9-Coin Collection celebrates one of the greatest icons of Australian motorsports history.

Born in Canada, Moffat moved to Australia with his family in the 1950s, and began competitive racing in the early 60s, finishing fourth in the inaugural 1964 Sandown Six Hour International. After a spell in the USA, Moffat became a regular on the Australian racing scene – and ultimately one Australia’s most successful racing drivers. Engaging in an epic rivalry with his friend Peter Brock, Moffat won the Australian Touring Car Championship four times, in 1973, 1976, 1977 & 1983. He claimed the crown at Bathurst on four occasions (1970, 1971, 1973 & 1977), as well as triumphing at Sandown six times (1964, 1969, 1970, 1974, 1983 & 1988). Moffat twice held the record for most Touring Car Championship round wins, firstly 25 and then with 32. In November 1989, having just celebrated his 50th birthday, Moffat retired from racing – and bowed out with a win in his final race! Heavily involved as a team owner, manager and administrator after his retirement, Moffat was inducted into the V8 Supercars Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame as an inaugural member in 2016.

The perfect way to honour this Australian racing legend, the Allan Moffat Enamel Penny 9-Coin Collection is one of the most eye-catching enamel sets we have offered. Comprising nine genuine Australian Queen Elizabeth II predecimal pennies, the set honours nine of Moffat’s race cars – all celebrated in glorious full-colour! Celebrating such iconic cars as the Ford Boss 302 Trans-Am Mustang, the RX-7 and the Sierra RS500 – plus the Bathurst winning Falcons of the 70s, of course – these spectacular colour coins move to a new level when united as a complete collection. With a limited edition of just 2,000 sets – each presented within a case with a Certificate of Authenticity – the race is on to own this sensational new release.
