Produced at the Royal Mint, London, in the first year of the 1914-18 First World War, the King George V 1914 Penny is a key early predecimal date. It is also one of the lowest mintage issues of the George V era! A mere 720,000 pennies were struck at the Royal Mint in 1914 - making it the 4th lowest mintage George V Penny, and few remain in this superb state of preservation apparent here.
Sure to impress the most discerning collector, this coin is beautifully struck-up, with great detail in the designs. Also distinguished by traces of original lustre, and a lovely even colour, this superb 105-year-old coin has been officially graded by PCGS at AU58BN - the equivalent of about Uncirculated.
