An officially licensed tribute to the 100th anniversary of the first British Grand Prix, this sterling silver stunner is superbly designed, beautifully presented and extremely exclusive. The limited edition has been set at a mere 2,500!
Interest in motor racing in Britain surged in the 1920s, following victories by Britain’s Henry Segrave at the 1923 French Grand Prix and 1923 San Sebatian Grand Prix. The first British Grand Prix was held at Brooklands in Surrey in 1926, with French drivers Robert Sénéchal and Louis Wagner being victorious. The World Championship of Drivers began in 1950, and as the first race of the season was held at Silverstone, the 1950 British Grand Prix was therefore the first ever World Championship Formula One race. Now, 100 years after that original race at Brooklands, the British Grand Prix is firmly entrenched as a major highlight of the F1 calendar.
Struck to Proof quality from sterling silver, this officially licensed coin is the perfect way to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first British Grand Prix. Brilliantly designed, the reverse depicts a car from the 1926 Brooklands race with a portrayal of a modern F1 car. The perfect finishing touch, each coin also features a portion of the Union Jack in full-colour! Official British legal tender, with the portrait of King Charles III on the obverse, this coin is also extremely exclusive. Surprisingly low, given the popularity of F1 around the world, the limited edition is just 2,500!
A fine addition to any coin collection, and simply a must-have for motorsports enthusiasts, our allocation of the 100 Years of the British Grand Prix 2026 50p Colour Silver Proof Coin is strictly limited. Don’t miss this opportunity!
