Issued under King George VI during the Second World War. Highly sought after โ among the lowest mintage Australian halfpennies. The 1942 Halfpenny had a mintage of 988,800, with the 1944 mintage just 729,600. The low mintages likely to have been due to the munitions work undertaken by the Melbourne Mint during the war. Missing from many collections โ scarce and sought after in any grade. A fantastic opportunity, we have these WWII artefacts in Very Fine quality.
