As good as the day it was struck…
One of the most desirable King George VI silver threepence dates, we have a few examples of the 1947 Threepence available in stunning Gem Uncirculated condition!
The first threepence date struck at the Melbourne Mint – indeed, the first the Mint had struck since 1943 – the 1947 Threepence is notable for the very low mintage. Only the 4.824 million coins were struck in this year, and of those not falling victim to the profiteer’s melting pot, or simply lost, few remain in the spellbinding quality apparent here.
Graded by leading independent 3rd party coin verifiers Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) at MS65 – the equivalent of Gem Uncirculated condition – we have four exquisite George VI 1947 Threepences available. Click add to cart now!
