With the succession of King Charles the III, Australia's coins for the first time bear the effigy of a new sovereign. Following in the footsteps of the tradition that each successive Monarch face the in the opposite direction, the new effigy of King Charles III by Dan Thorne will be looking in a new direction as the sixth effigy to appear on Australia's decimal currency.
