Official issues of the Royal Australian Mint (RAM), the 2026 Mint Set and 2026 Proof Set both celebrate a major milestone in Australian history – the 60th anniversary of decimal currency. It was in February of 1966 that decimal currency was launched in Australia, replacing the complex ‘pounds, shillings & pence’ system inherited from Britain.
