Struck just over a century ago, during the Roaring Twenties, the coin before you is a superb example of the King George V 1925 Threepence.
Struck at the Sydney and Melbourne branches of the Royal Mint, the 1925 Threepence had a mintage of 4.35 million – absolutely minuscule by modern standards. As a result of extensive circulation, as well as the huge number melted for the sterling silver or simply lost, the number remaining in the quality seen here is infinitesimal.
