The creator of Australia’s original decimal coinage, as well as the coinage of more than 30 other countries, Devlin produced a magnificent design for this unique, one-year-only type. Dominating the expansive flan, Devlin’s motif features St Edward’s Crown and the Royal Cypher of the Queen, superimposed upon the numerals ‘80’, encircled by flags representing the bond between Australia and Great Britain.
