An officially licensed product, struck by Australia’s precious metal specialists – the Perth Mint – we are delighted to present the Bon Scott 80th Anniversary 1 Gram Gold Bar!
Known for his inimitable stage presence and distinctive, raspy vocals, Bon Scott was the frontman of legendary hard rock band AC/DC. A gifted lyricist whose powerful lines worked perfectly with the Young brothers’ aggressive guitar riffs, Bon was a key to the band’s rise to stardom. He was crucial to some of the band’s greatest early tracks – TNT, It’s a Long Way to the Top, High Voltage, Jailbreak, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Highway to Hell, to name a few. Having made seven albums with AC/DC, Bon Scott died tragically in 1980, aged just 33. He was, and remains, a true icon of rock’n’roll.
The perfect way to pay tribute to the 80th anniversary of his birth, this officially licensed product is struck from one gram of pure 99.99% gold. Measuring 15.60mm x 9.10mm, each bar features the Bon Scott logo and crest, incorporating a lion rampant holding a microphone. On the back, you will find the Perth Mint's London Bullion Market Association registered mark. Beautifully presented, each bar is set in a card, housed within an outer sleeve. A fantastic concept, the sleeve features a photo of Bon Scott in a representation of a polaroid picture, along with his facsimile signature!
