An intense qualifying session saw Brown start 12th before Pye pushed the #1 Camaro into the top five as the rain arrived at Mount Panorama. A failed pass at The Chase saw Brown handed a five-second penalty before a late crash at Griffin’s Bend on Lap 131 left the Camaro missing its rear wing and bonnet — a brutal end to an otherwise competitive run. Despite the damage, Brown and Feeney had already locked themselves into the new Finals format for the Gold Coast 500.
The 2025 Bathurst 1000 was hailed by fans and commentators alike as one of the most thrilling in recent memory — a race packed with drama, changing conditions, and unpredictable battles across the mountain.
