History’s most infamous betrayal comes alive in the Caesar vs. Brutus – Blades of Freedom & Betrayal 2025 2oz Silver Proof Coin. The first release in CIT's new series dedicated to legendary rivalries, this dramatic design recalls the fateful Ides of March, 44 BC — when loyalty to ideals clashed with loyalty to a man, and Julius Caesar fell at the hands of Brutus and his fellow conspirators.
Struck from 2oz of 99.99% pure silver to Proof quality, this coin uses masterful minting technique to bring extraordinary depth and detail. Brutus is depicted in sombre dignity, surrounded by motifs of betrayal — from the 23 notches symbolising Caesar’s wounds to the intricate web of intrigue. The polished dagger forms the coin’s central highlight, embodying both freedom and treachery. On the reverse, Caesar sits proudly on horseback, rendered with striking contrasts that foretell his tragic fate.
With a worldwide mintage of just500 coins, and presented in a case with a Certificate of Authenticity, this release is more than a collector’s piece — it is a work of art that captures the eternal tension between power, loyalty, and betrayal. Essential for lovers of history, fine minting, and dramatic storytelling.
