Representing the powerful Glenn Seton Racing squad, the #35 Falcon featured the iconic Peter Jackson-inspired blue, red, and yellow livery—a design that had become synonymous with Ford’s touring car presence across the late '80s and early '90s. The 1995 Great Race marked a historic moment, being the first Bathurst 1000 contested by a single class of 5.0L Touring Cars, paving the way for the V8 Supercars era.
Working in tandem with their sister car (#30 Seton/Parsons), Jones and Grice were poised for a legendary 1-2 finish for GSR. But with just 11 laps to go, Seton’s heartbreaking engine failure left the #35 Falcon to carry the torch—ultimately finishing runner-up by just 5 seconds after a fierce battle with a dominant fleet of VR Commodores and rival EF Falcons.
