A collection of King George VI Australian Pennies, honouring Ford Falcon GTs. Ford’s high-performance models of the Falcon range captured on genuine gold-plated Australian pennies. Each collection is presented within a black presentation box, complete with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
With the arrival of the Ford Falcon XR in 1966, Ford Australia created a legend with the introduction of the GT (Gran Turismo) nameplate to the Falcon range.
The GT emerged as the high-performance model from the Falcon range and the “Aussie Muscle Car” was born. From the XR model through to XB, the Ford GT legend grew to be the aspirational car for Ford drivers competing in the Australian Touring Car Championship and the annual Bathurst 500 mile and 1000-kilometre races.
