Paying homage to a major milestone in numismatic history, the Portraits of Queen Elizabeth II 2026 £5 Jody Clark Brilliant Uncirculated Coin honours the very last definitive coinage portrait of the queen employed in Great Britain.
The first portrait by a Royal Mint designer to appear on British coinage in more than a century, the final definitive portrait of Elizabeth II was created by Jody Clark. An elegant, much-admired design, capturing the warmth and humanity of the queen, Clark’s portrait features the Diamond Diadem – created in 1820 for King George IV, and worn by Elizabeth IIon the way to her Coronation in 1953. Clark’s effigy first appeared on British circulating coinage in 2015, and was employed until the passing of Britain’s longest reigning monarch in 2022.
Taking the fifth and final definitive coinage portrait of Elizabeth II to a new level, Clark’s splendid effigy has been remastered by Royal Mint Chief Engraver Gordon Summers for the reverse of this unique commemorative type. Uniting Mother & Son on an official British legal tender coin, Martin Jennings’ official portrait of King Charles III adorns the obverse.
Beautifully presented within a typically impressive official, informative Royal Mint pack, the Portraits of Queen Elizabeth II 2026 £5 Jody Clark Brilliant Uncirculated Coin is within the reach of all at this price.
