Marking 10 years since Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes last teamed up for an endurance race, their 2019 Bathurst 1000 campaign was one to remember. Whincup set a blistering pace in Thursday practice, recording the fastest time for an opening session in Bathurst 1000 history. After qualifying fourth on the grid, the duo battled fiercely at the front, positioning themselves for a podium finish. However, late-race safety cars and a controversial finish saw them cross the line in fourth place.
