Distinguished by outstanding all-new packaging, we are proud to present the Elizabeth II 1999-2019 Ian Rank-Broadley Portrait Uncirculated 6-Coin Set!
A noted British artist and sculptor, Ian Rank-Broadley deliberately set out to create a more realistic portrait of Queen Elizabeth II than the portrait it replaced, by Raphael Maklouf. The Royal Mint stated that, as coins were becoming smaller, Rank-Broadley aimed to create a portrait that would “fill as much of the field as possible”, and used Pistrucci’s 1817 portrait of King George III as his inspiration. A much-admired work, Rank-Broadley’s effigy first appeared on Australian circulating coinage in 1999, and was employed for two decades.
A fine snapshot of this key period in Australian currency history, this 6-coin collection includes the 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2. Struck by the Royal Australian Mint, each coin bears the classic design for its denomination. In strictly Uncirculated condition, the six coins are united within an all-new, richly informative pack.
A must-have for every Australian collection, the Elizabeth II 1999-2019 Ian Rank-Broadley Portrait Uncirculated 6-Coin Set is a must-have at this price! Click add to cart now!
