An official issue of the Royal Australian Mint, we are delighted to present the Rugby World Cup 2019 $2 Colour Aluminium-Bronze Uncirculated Coin!
Australia played its first game of international rugby in 1899, but it wasnโt until 1908 that โthe Wallabiesโ were born. It was in that year that the first Australian rugby team left our shores, heading off to tour the British Isles. Disdainfully dubbed โthe Rabbitsโ, the Aussie players defiantly took on the name โthe Wallabiesโ and, having won 33 of 39 matches while on tour, a legend was born. Representing the nation with an abundance of pride and passion, the Wallabies have twice won the Rugby World Cup.
Paying homage to Australiaโs rugby heroes, the Rugby World Cup 2019 $2 Colour Aluminium-Bronze Uncirculated Coin would make a fine acquisition for any Aussie sports fan. Itโs also a must-have for serious collectors. Part of the hottest series in Australian numismatics, this full-colour $2 commemorative has naturally been largely hoarded out of circulation. Even if you are lucky, and find one in change, it will not be in the pristine Uncirculated condition seen here.
