Do the stars determine our fate? The human fascination for the power of the stars has been unbroken for thousands of years. This unique set from Somaliland includes twelve coins with all the signs of the zodiac of Western astrology on the reverses. The astrological year is divided into twelve sections, but these do not coincide with the twelve months of the Gregorian calendar. Thus the astrological year begins not in January, but in March with the constellation of Aries. It is followed by Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.
