Paying homage to those who served in the Pacific Theatre, this replica medal honours the WWII Pacific Star. Instituted in May 1945, the WWII Pacific Star was bestowed upon armed forces personnel who had qualified for a specified period of operational service in the Pacific Theatre from December 8, 1941 to August 15, 1945.

Obverse: The cypher of King George VI, surrounded by a circlet containing the inscription ‘THE PACIFIC STAR’, surmounted by a crown
Reverse: Plain – for inscription of recipient’s details
Designer: Royal Mint engravers
Dimensions: 44mm high, 38mm across
Ribbon: Devised by King George VI, the Pacific Star ribbon featured a central stripe of yellow (representing the beaches), flanked by two green stripes (jungles), with dark blue, light blue and red stripes representing the Navy, Air Force and Army
